Thoughts on Online University Data Science Postgrad Program

In this article, I talk about the university cost, admission, framework, content, workload and expectations for readers to decide whether to go down this path or take a data science course online.

My Background

I graduated in Bachelor in Business and have been working in the property industry for about 10 years. I do not have any knowledge in IT and have zero programming skills. I have never wrote a single code in my life. I only have A’ Level Mathematics knowledge that I did many years ago which is almost non-existent.

Being in the property industry for so many years, I find that it is not the direction that I would like the pursue further. After doing a ton of research and consulting a number of people, I decided Data Science is my future.

University Admission

I am based in Australia and was looking at local universities that offer online study option. The group of 8 (top 8 universities in Australia) have certainly stricter criteria to get in.
